My dishwasher won't drain

Last night I ran my dishwasher, and it went through the whole cycle and then just stopped. I opened it and noticed that it had not drained. My husband is away and I would really like to take care of this before he comes back. Sears can't come out until September 12th. Any suggestions?

It is possible that it ran thru the entire cycle but was unable to drain teh waste water ( usually the result of a clogged filter screen in the bottom of your dishwasher).. I suggest you either hand bail the water out and look for the drain filter screen or check where the drain hose is hooked up under your sink and possibly into the side of a garbage disposal..That could be clogged up too... Hope that helps...

The last few times I filled the rinse dispenser and ran the dishwasher I notice the arrow showing the rinse aid is almost empty. Impossible. What is going on with this?

THE ANSWER IS YES. FROM YOUR DESCRIPTION IT SOUNDS LIKE THE DISPENSER PUMP OR RESERVOIR IS LEAKING. YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE WHOLE SOAP DISPENSER. ALTHOUGH DISH WASHERS NEED THE HELP OF RINSE AID IT IS ONLY DISPENSED A DROP OR TWO AT A TIME DURING THE FINAL RINSE CYCLE PART OF THE WASH. HOPE THIS HELPS AND THANK YOU FOR READING THIS.

If the door is not locking properly there is a chance that the door lock switch is not being closed. This will shut off power to many of the circuits, including power to the water fill solenoid, etc. Latch mechanisms are available separately.

Bosch dishwasher shx46a06uc-30

the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub

do they flash lik all on one side then the other? Start a cycle, then open the door. Do the lights flash the same way when you open the door as when it stops? if soyou may have a door that needs to be adjusted so it closes better. when the cycle ends, is there any standing water in the bottom? if so you may have a poorly routed drain hose or a partial clog in it. Last, pull the bottom panels off and look inside the bottom of the dishwasher and see if there is standing water down there . If ther is you have aleak somewhere or a bad drain pump. You r only other choice is a bad pressure switch. If youve already adjusted the water fil to the proper level ( just up to the grey plastic housing that the lower wash arm sits on) tehre really aernt any more options. Hope this helps!
