When I switch on the WiFi using the slide switch at the bottom my system will freeze. I may get one 'tap' before it does but that's all. When I switch it off again all is well and some of the 'taps' made during the frozen period are then acted on.
Everything else seems to work, just no WiFi.
This also happens right after a hard reset.
I am running 1.0623.409.
Any suggestions?

Hi Christopher, If no Wi-Fi and you're trying to connect to your home Wi-Fi The password is on the back of the modem in the house, Write it down then go into your phone and tap "SETTINGS" and tap "CONNECTIONS", Then tap on "Wi-Fi" and make sure it's switched on(should be a slide switch there), Once switched on it should start scanning automatically for networks, but if not then there's a scan button there somewhere. When it finds the modem just tap on that WiFi setting and a small window opens for the password, Type in the pass word tap "OK" and you're connected... Below is a link to a short YouTube video explaining pretty much the same thing I said..... I hope this helps..., CHEERS..

The switch slide snaps in - use a screwdriver and gently pry up on the bottom of the switch slide, there is a tab on either side that will release and it will come out - you will find 2 more housing screws behind it to remove the handle and replace the cord.
The switch will go back in top first and give the bottom a tap to snap it back in place.
Cell phones are drained by running background apps, LCD brightness etc. Here are a few tips to help you.
Most importantly, batteries do loose their strength (even when fully charged). I would possibly replace the battery every 2-3 years with a name brand battery, not a generic. Also keep in mind, when your phone is charged at 100%..unplug it.

Apple's iPhone is a multimedia connectivity tool.
As such, the iPhone employs a sophisticated system to keep
you connected to the web via WiFi signals so that you can stay up to date with
email, mapping and media.
To use the iPhone's WiFi feature just follow these steps.
Tap a network.
If you have not yet used your iPhone's WiFi or if you're in
a new WiFi area, the iPhone will show you a list of available networks.
Tap the network that you want to connect to in order to
connect.
If there is a password required a little lock icon appears.
Enter the password to connect to locked networks and
continue to surf the web.
Monitor your signal.
As you use your iPhone, especially if you're moving around,
you should take a look at the signal strength of the connection.
The strength is indicated by a small, black broadcast symbol
that stacks arches, or rounded bars, on top of one another.
The more bars there are the better the signal.
Make connecting to WiFi automatic or manual.
The iPhone is equipped to automatically search for available
networks and connect you to one.
If you do not want the phone to search for networks, select
the "WiFi" option on the phone's menu.
Then select either the on or off option of the "Ask To
Join Networks."
Turning this option off requires that you find networks
manually.
Forget a network.
Once you connect to a WiFi network once the iPhone
automatically remembers the network and connects you to it at a later
opportunity.
To forget a network so you don't get automatically connected
choose the "WiFi" option on the menu.
Then tap the right arrow button next to one of the networks
that the iPhone already remembers. Then tap "Forget This Network" to
erase the phone's memory of the network.
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi Connection Problems on an iPhone
If you experience Wi-Fi connectivity issues on your iPhone,
you may need to reset the Wi-Fi connection.
Your connectivity issues could be caused by the wrong
password if you are having trouble logging into the Wi-Fi network or from a
problem in your iPhone's settings.
By resetting the Wi-Fi connection, you are clearing out the
previous settings created when you first connected to the network.
Tap the Settings icon on the iPhone's home screen, and tap the Wi-Fi tab.
Swipe the switch on the Wi-Fi tab to ensure Wi-Fi is enabled
on your iPhone.
Tap the blue arrow button on the network tab you are
connected to in the network list, and tap "Forget this Network."
Tap the "Forget Network" button that appears on
the pop-up menu to confirm the action.
Tap the Wi-Fi
Networks tab in the upper-left corner to return to the previous screen, and tap
the network's tab in the network list to re-join it.
Press the Home button on the iPhone, and tap the Safari icon
on the home screen to test the Wi-Fi connection.
Tap the blue arrow icon on the network's tab if the
connectivity problem persists, and tap the "Renew Lease" button at
the bottom of the network's window.
Tap the "Renew Lease" button on the pop-up box
to confirm the action.
Tap the Home button on the iPhone, and tap the Safari icon

That's right, there's a physical wifi switch for your Lenovo 3000 N100. It's located on the front panel of your machine. It should be toggled on the right side if you wanted to turn it on. If it's not working you might need to turn on it's wifi soft switch. All you have to do is to press the Fn + F5 button. In any case and still you will be encountering the same issue that wifi switch can't be turned on I will ask you to contact Lenovo so they can give you proper recommendation on how the wifi switch can be replaced.
There is usually either a button or a slide switch that controls if the wifi is on or not. It is marked with an icon that looks like a tower with two curved bars coming out of each side. Be sure that switch is set to "on". Secondly, you will see a small icon in your system tray (bottom right hand side of your screen) that looks like two little computer monitors. You need to click on that and have it search for wireless networks. Once you find your wireless router simply click on that router and click connect.
