Taylor 5599 440 Pound Tempered Glass Body Fat-Body Water Scale Logo

I have two Taylor Lithium scales and neither one of them will turn on. I have replaced the batteries, still they will not turn on. I have done a "reboot" as suggested on FixYa, but without results.

The scale is not new and does not need to be initialized. It won't turn on at all so touching it lightly with the foot won't work. It is on an even ceramic tile floor. The batteries are placed properly.

Since you've done all the possible troubleshooting with the product but nothing's happening at all.

I would highly suggest to contact the manufacturer, I know that they have the better solution to this concern.

You can contact them at: 1-866-843-3905
Or you can email them: email: [email protected]

The scale may need to be initialized. This process is necessary because the scale was moved during the shipping process. Initializing the scale "re-seats" the internal parts allowing the scale to find the correct "zero." Here is how to initialize your scale:
- Place the scale back on a hard surface floor.
- With one foot only, place just enough weight on the scale for the display shows zero's or dashes. Once you see zeros or dashes remove your foot.
- Wait for the scale to turn off again.
- Step up onto the scale for a weight.

Or, your scale may be on an uneven surface or on carpet. Be sure to place your scale on a hard, flat surface to get an accurate weighing. Are you sure that the place the new battery with the "+" sign up into the battery compartment?

When you get onto the scale (Taylor Lithium 7506), the numbers just keep cycling and never stop. We tried changing the battery, even though the scale is less than three months old, but it still does the...

Turn it over - take out battery and check with multimeter to ensure it is still workable - let sit for 10 to 15 seconds - replace battery - set it on level surface and step on and back off. Step on it again and it should now work.
