Mine does the same thing after I reprogrammed it. The battery pack is good. I am using a KSC-35s charger. Put the radio in the charger, red light comes on and starts blinking in a few seconds, remove radio and put it right back in the charger, red light comes on and may or may not start blinking. Repeat until the red light does not blink and it will charge like normal. Beats me as to what is going on but it is a pain.

  • Couple things this could be.
  1. First thing is to make sure the radio is seated properly in the charger and that all the contacts are making contact and not dirty.
  2. The other thing this could be is that the battery is bad. Or in the least the capacity for the battery is extremely bad and not reliable.
  3. If the contacts look good and it's sitting on the charger proper than you will need to get another battery pack. Sorry.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Charger will not charge radio, has red blinking light

If the radio will charge on one charger and not the other, the one with the blinking light is bad or has a dirty or defective battery contact. Check your charger for debris and clean your battery contacts with a pencil eraser and try charging again. If this fails, replace your charger.

Best regards.

In the manual, it states that if the LED is Blinking Red "The battery pack is defective or the battery pack contacts
are not properly mated with those of the charger" Below is a link to the manual.

Red light flashing on joystick about 10 min after charging

Most of the time it may be the batteries at fault. One more thing to try is charging the chair with the Joystick on all night 10-14 hours uninterrupted charging. Your chair may suffer from current roll back. There is a circuit in your system that has to be reset by the long charge cycle to reset it. I did not make this up. it occurs when the motors over heat or have a a large current draw. the chair will operate normally for ten maybe even twenty mins. then suddenly drop down to 2 flashing red lights.

WHy is air hog battery charger flashing red

I had a Storm Launcher battery that was unused for sometime and when I plugged it in to the charger, the light flashed red. I checked the voltage of the pack and it was down around 2.5V....from 7.4V. I figured the "smart charger" thought it had a dead or shorted cell and wouldn't kick in the charging circuit. I McGyver'd the two probes and alligator clips to connect the pack to a 9V. NiCad "dumb" charger. The light came on showing a charge and I left it for 5 mins. Unhooked it and checked the voltage. It was now 5 volts...supposed to be 7.4...but much better than 2.5. Plugged the pack into the AirHogs charger and the green light started flashing, indicating a charge. Later I got the double-flashing and 10 minutes after that FULL charge! Just needed a boost to start the smart charger.

My Casio Exilim EX-S880 wont turn on. Battery is dead but the camera wont charge on the charger. The red charger light is flashing when then camera is placed on it. This red light used to stay on...

I found this while trying to solve my exact same problem.. It worked for me after about 7 times. Some other people on the site said it worked for them after 20 times. Good luck!

My NP 20 gave me the flashing red light of death and I got Casio to replace it. Then I had the same problem with my second NP 20 so I dug around for a way to fix it and I found the following advice on a site called FixYa. It worked instantly and I didn't risk ruining my battery.

I had the same problem as this.
what i did was...
i kept putting the battery on the charger then took it off as soon as the red light came on.
i did this about 6 times.
doing this puts a bit of charge in the battery each time before the charger starts to flash.
after the battery as got enough charge in it it can start to charge.
hope this helps.

Batteries don't charge. I have a new battery, and neither of the old or new batteries work in the charger. I get flashing lights only, sometimes red, sometimes green, but in the end, the battery isn't...

Dust getting in the charger is a problem, Try blowing it out with a moisture-free dust remover, found at most any store. Green flashing means improper power, due to dust or power from the outlet, try a differant wall outlet. Red flashing means the charger or battery is to hot and must cool down before it will charge. The charger will not charge a battery if the lights are flashing. Solid Red light means it is charging and solid green light means it is charged. Plug the charger in first before putting the battery on the charger. If the charger has been droped or hit the floor the coil inside could have broke loose and dammaged the charger requiring it to be replaced.

Olympus battery charger flashes red when battery is inserted.

@gminvite1
"Another way I found was when this happens, to push the battery to the point the light will turn on, when it starts flashing slide it off then back on. Do this a few times so it charges a little, then you should be fine to leave it on."

I tried to do this with my LI-10C Olympus charger and it worked..The blinking red light turns to solid red..Thanks for the info...Now I won't be bothering to buy a new batt.or have my charger checked..

Battery Charger Olympus li-40c

I had this problem a few weeks ago (i.e. flashing red LED). All I did was remove the power plug from the charging unit, turned it around 180 degrees, then plugged it back into the charging unit. Red LED came on steady & the battery (which is the one that came with the camera) recharged as normal.
