SOURCE: xbox 360 wireless controller
You must sync the 360 with your controller. Turn on your 360 and your controller. Push the little black button on the front of your console, then hold the little tiny button on the top of your controller for a few seconds. This should sync them.
SOURCE: i want to splice a ps2 contoller with an xbox
As far i know, that is not possible to splice a PS2 controller with an XBOX. As you said they have different wiring sets, so I highly doubt it will work.
SOURCE: Xbox 360 controller turns off at random, yet has new batteries
The battery indicator found when pressing your xbox logo button is
temperamental. It might say 2 bars, or 3 or even full battery but this
is not a good indicator of a full battery.
The problem IS low batteries(or more specifically - bad batteries) - when the batteries become low the
vibration function can cause the controller to disconnect. This is
happens because the vibration function uses extra battery power.
So basically... Every time your controller vibrates, it disconnects.
This occurs when firing a weapon in most games, grenades in COD,
landing heavy tricks in Skate 2, the list goes on, you'll find many
complaints from people stating their controller disconnects
specifically with these events.
The simple solution, turn off the vibration function when this occurs. It'll never happen to you again ^_^
Thumbs this up when it proves correct for you. I'd recommend a recharge while you play pack. ALWAYS by the official products too. They're much more reliable and aren't prone to this kind of behaviour.
SOURCE: I have a wireless controller that won't connect
sync the controler to the xbox. there is a small button on the top of the controller next to the plug in for the cord. push that button along with the button next to the reciving eye on the consel. push them both at teh samt time until they stop spinning and start flashing as if they had low batterys.
go to console setting system info press lt rt x y lb rb x left down
If that doesn't work I just got off the phone with a Xbox Representative and he said this is the new code to use with the NXE Dashboard:
LT - RT - X - Y - LB - RB - X - Y - A - Up (on the D-Pad)
Good Luck!
