Our television must be equipped with a/v inputs.
1. Using the A/V cable provided, connect the proper end to the a/v input jack on your camcorder.
2. Connect the other end to the A/V Inputs on your television.
3. You must tune your television to the proper source / video mode. (Consult television User Manual or manufacturer for further support)
Helpful hint:
To tune to video mode using the television remote, look for a button labeled:

Connect the Camcorder to the TV using A/V cable. Yellow, Red and White combination on the TV side. Probably a single connector in the Camcorder side. Once you make the connection, switch on the Camcorder in playback mode and play the recordings.
Select input using the input button on the TV.
Please let me know if you require any further assistance.
You can connect the A/V output of the Camcorder to the A/V inputer(Yellow, REd and White) to view the recordings on the TV screen. Once you connect the Camcorder, playback the videos and select input using INPUT/TV/VIDEO button.
If recordings are only blurry and snowy on playback on camcorder, but are OK on a different camcorder or on computer, then the problem is a dirty magnetic head.
Use a mini-dv head cleaner tape.
If recordings are blurred even on pc or on a different camera, then there is a fault.
Faulty CCD sensor, faulty digital board, problem with internal ribbon connector, and dirty or defective lens assembly can cause this kind of problem.
Hi There, Try this: Connect you camcorder to your tv set via a/v input cable. Put camera in cam mode so you can see the picture on the tv. Turn up the volume on tv and if it squeels, the mic on the cam is ok. Record something and then play it back on the tv, if its ok, then all your audio is functioning. This means that the SPEAKER on your camera is defective.
Thanks, mr cicmo
Are you playing the video back through the camcorders utility ? Sometimes by clicking on the file through windows explorer you will get the picture but no sound, this happens for the Sony camcorder but is fixed by running the playback through the motion picture browser application supplied with the camcorder.
On my handycam you have to hit the Volume + button while playing back. Everytime you playback it starts volume at zero and you have to volume up to hear anytime you playback.
