You can try this,
"A 'Fax Log Full ' message displays on the control panel display when the Fax Log is full."

1. Press the Setup button ("Spanner logo")

2. Press the Right arrow button (?) until Tools displays on the control panel, and then press OK .

3. Press the Right arrow button (?) until Fax Log displays on the control panel, and then press OK .

4. Press the Right arrow button (?) until Clear Fax Log displays on the control panel, and then press OK . A message that says the fax memory is clear displays on the control panel.

5. Press the Cancel button (X) to exit.

Once you print out the fax log it should clear the memory. Here are the instructions for printing the log.

To print the fax log from the device control panel
1. On the device control panel, press Setup.
2. Press the arrow key to move down to Print Report, and then press OK.
3. Press the arrow key to move down to Fax Log, and then press OK.
4. Press OK again to print the log

If you wish to print or view the Fax history, you can try this. Open this LINK, scroll down and locate page no. 61, follow the instructions mentioned in "Print and View Fax Log".

I could give the instructions here, but you might be confused without illustrations.

8500 hp printer -- cant get red of message -fax log full

clear the fax log...
go to setup menu basic fax setup... scroll to fax log... clear fax log....
in some printer you can find the fax log in the fax settings or advance fax setup..

Hi

You can print a log of faxes that have been received and sent by the device. Each
entry in the log contains the following information:
• Transmission date and time
• Type (whether received or sent)
• Fax number
• Duration
• Number of pages
• Result (status) of transmission
To print the fax log from the device control panel please follow the directions below
1. Press Setup.
2. Press right arrow to select Print Report, and then press OK.
3. Press right arrow to select Fax Log, and then press OK.
4. Press OK again to print the log

How do i shut off the fax log

In order to clear the Fax logs I request you to perform the below stps.

Click on setup on the All in one printer,
and then click on Tools and select the clear fax logs and press OK.

Now, check the Functionality of the All in one printer.

Fax log full HP Officejet 8500 error; Delete not

Please press the set up menu on th eprinter which is like a tool(wrench)-----Arrow keys-----TOOLS-----OK-----Arrow Keys------Clear Fax Log------OK.
This will clear the fax log.
If still the issue persists, please follow the below steps.
1. Touch the Setup icon.
2. Scroll to and touch Tools.
3. Scroll to and touch Restore Factory Defaults. A Defaults Restored message displays.
4. Press the Cancel button to return to the main menu.

And then, again cleasr the fax log by following the below steps.
Please press the set up menu on th eprinter which is like a tool(wrench)-----Arrow keys-----TOOLS-----OK-----Arrow Keys------Clear Fax Log------OK.
This will fix the issue.

How do I print a fax confirmation on my hp officejet J4580

Press setup (wrench sign button ) button on printer and use arrow keys to goto print reports menu , press OK on print reports menu , under this select fax confirmation and press OK, it will print the confirmation page.

PDF page 64 (manual page 60) give instructions on how to turn it on all the time or how to print a fax log report.
