i have found one reference of his occuring with what is known a faulty LVDS cables. inside the set their are cables that take the signal from the main board to optical block. they look kinda like computer monitor cables. you might try reseating these cables first. the notes i found said that replacing the cables fixed the problem...something to try good luck
Unfortunely your optics engine needs replacing, (Light Engine).. The only solution to repairing this problem is to replace the optics engine, One of the LCD Screens has gone bad.
thats a common symptom for that model which is usually related to the optical block. Very exspensive repair. Check with a sony authorized repair center as Sony has recognized the problem and offer assistance with certain models yours may be one of the ones affected.
The optical block is defective. Sony sometimes warranties these even after the 1yr warranty has expired. Contact Sony support and have you full model and serial number handy.
The Blue dots or discolouration you are seeing is due too the Blue LCD screen having cracked from excessive heat. This normally happens when you have a power failure while the Television was on. This obviously because the Blue LCD sits next to the lamp - the main cause of heat. The correct part number on the 60" is A-1086-952-A. It is very, very ,expensive.
Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. Good luck : )
