If your camcorder is left in Record-Pause or Play-Pause for several minutes, it turns off automatically to prevent wear on your tape.
Set the CAMERA/OFF/VCR switch to OFF and then to CAMERA or VCR to turn it back on.

You may need to have a charged battery pack attached to the camcorder (or use the mains power lead, if applicable), so that the camcorder has power to open the cassette door. You may even need to turn the camcorder on. These are safety refinements so that the eject button does not accidentally open the door, leading to possible loss of cassette or damage to the camcorder itself.
Hi, You need to format camcorder hard drive through Format option in camcorder menu itself. Please check camcorder menu and hard drive section for Format option, this will delete all files on hard drive and solve your problem. Thanks.
The computer is no longer detecting the camcorder for several reasons. It could be the ports on the computer, it could be the cable that you're using to connect the camcorder to the iMac, or it could be the camcorder itself.
Try connecting the camcorder into different USB or FireWire port of the iMac.
Try using different cable.
Try connecting the camcorder into different computer to test the device.
If all else fails, power cycle the camcorder by turning it off and remove the battery for about 10 minutes. Then turn it back on. Otherwise, contact the manufacturer for second opinion.
Drivers are already preloaded for your camcorder as long as you are using Windows XP or Vista. You will need a program to capture the video to your computer. Pinnacle Studio will work for your camcorder.
Once the firewire cable is installed and the camcorder is turned on, pinnacle studio will give you the option to load itself up.
