Re: To Transfer from DV Camcorder to PC
If you have XP you should be able to find Microsoft Movie Maker and it is actually quite good for dumping DV to your hard drive. It will split the scenes and you can edit and create movies with it. It will also allow you to add sound tracks, etc.

You will require a firewire cable.
Usually a 4 pin to 6 pin cable. 4 pin to camera 6 pin to computer, assuming you PC has a fireiwre socket.
PC computer have Movie Maker as part of the OS.
Connect with the above cable and you should be good to go.
first of all you should have your cd driver came with camcorder and as far as i know your driver isnt compatible with vista so better try to use windows xp. install the driver, plug your camcorder using your usb. upload your videos from your camcorder to your pc using ULEAD MOVIE MAKER. edit it and save it with any various types of videos. finish!
