Continious short beeps from a gigabyte MB - Intel Motherboard

Gigabyte doesn't list 3 long beeps as an error code, so I'm not sure if you're actually getting 3 short beeps or maybe 1 long and 2 short or... But, for reference, Gigabyte's error code list is as follows (depending on whether you have an AWARD BIOS or an AMI):

(AWARD BIOS)
1 short beep: System normal
2 short beep: CMOS Error
1 long beep and 1 short beep: Memory error
1 long beep and 2 short beep: Graphic card error
1 long beep and 3 short beep: AGP error
1 long beep and 9 short beep: Memory Error
Continuous long beep: Memory not correctly installed
Continuous short beep: Power supply unit failed

(AMI BIOS)
1 short beep: Memory Error
2 short beep: Memory parity check error.
3 short beep: Basic memory 64K address check error
4 short beep: Real Time Clock malfunction .
5 short beep: CPU error
6 short beep: Keyboard error
7 short beep: CPU interruption error
8 short beep: Graphic card error
9 short beep: Memory error
10 short beep: CMOS error
11 short beep: CPU cache memory malfunction

It might not be a lot of help, but it's somewhere to start... and at least this way you'll know what to be listening for.

here is a list of beep code for Award bios chip, which is the one present on you memory card:

repeated beeps - DRAM error
repeated short beeps - Power error
Repeated high & low beeps - Processor is damaged/Overheated

1 short - System boot successfull
2 short - CMOS setting error
1 long 1 short - DRAM or M/B error
1 long 2 short - Monitor or display card error
1 long 3 short - Keyboard error
1 long 9 short - BIOS ROM error

I don't remember the speed of the repeted beeps for the award bios.
But in your case if this is not a DRAM issue, you might try to check if the beeping remain the same once the cmos battery removed (the flat batterie that looks taken out of a watch).
If so this means that it needs to be replaced.

I am not sure on the beeps on what your mean. There is a short beep or a long beep or a series of beeps. Here is a website for you to help you to determine that.

Sorry, that indicates a main board failure; you need to replace it.

Using the manual for the Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 MB. Go to page 71 & you'll see bios beep codes for your board: AWARD BIOS Beep Codes 1 short: System boots successfully 2 short: CMOS setting error 1 long 1 short: DRAM or M/B error 1 long 2 short: Monitor or display card error 1 long 3 short: Keyboard error 1 long 9 short: BIOS ROM error Continuous long beeps: DRAM error Continuous short beeps: Power error As you can see there isn't a code for three short beeps. When you boot your system try to pause your boot up screen. See if the bios is reporting the correct total of memory in your system. listen carefully to the beeps
One Long Beep, One Short Beep= motherboard problems.
One Long Beep, 2 Short Beep= video problems.
One Long Beep, 3 Short Beep= video problems.
Repeated long beeps = memory failure
continious long and short beeps = Cpu overheating

Try the old ram back in if it works you have the wrong ram
ram comes in many shapes and flavours
ddr ddr2 etc

The beeps you heard, 1 long two short is the bios telling you that there is a problem with your video card. Normally you would remove & reseat it. Not the case with the intergrated video. When you added an AGP card you should have been able to get video. All video is controlled by the intergrated video controller. If your sure the radeon works than all that is left is the mb controller which can't be fixed. There is a slim chance you might get a PCI video card to work. Link to your board:
