I just bought a Panasonic NS-GS200 Digital Camcorder yesterday at a store in Malaysia. It was amazing. But i have couple of questions to ask and wonder whether you can help me out. Questions ---------- 1. I notice some videos taken, when they try to video shoot a computer monitor, from the video it does not flicker. But when i take a video at my own computer monitor, it seems to flicker a lot. I am running on a 60Hz frame rate on my monitor. I did not modify any settings on the digital camcorder. Any help please? I do not want to see flickering on my videos. 2. I notice that my hand shakes a lot when i shoot a video. I know that there is a feature to reduce hand shake right in some digital camera models? Does my models comes with this feature? 3. Last question, what is backlight meant for? When i shoot videos in the dark, do i need that to be on? Any help please? Thanks.
1. try changing your screen refresh rate. 2. yes, it is called EIS. you can switch it on from the menus. The EIS does not work well in low light. a tripod is your best bet for a steady camera. 3. the backlight feature back lights the LCD screen only. to shoot in low light switch the camera mode to manual and change the menu setting to low light. the magic pix mode will help you shoot in the dark but any movement will become blurred. Again, best to use a tripod in this situation. Detailed information for items two and three should be in your manual.
