All of the buttons on my casio E-115 stop responding suddently, including the power button, although I am still able to run programs by using the stylus. It will turn itself off after being idle for a while when it is on battery and I have to press the reset to turn it back on. Could anybody please give me a clue what is going on? Do I need to perform a hard reset?

Re: Buttons stop working. Help Please!
I use a free utility called reset to reboot your device with the stylus. You need not press the button onthe back of the device.
Apparently you have an ill-behaved application which is taking up the resources on the device & does not allow the device to recognise the keypresses.
Do check the latest application you installed that caused this problem.
Failing this you could always hard reset the device after backing up the device on a cf card using "CardBackup" - a much faster & reliable option than ActiveSynch's backup program.

I'm afraid I find it difficult to understand your query - however, this camera is now ten years old, and all consumer electronics have a limited life. The cost of repair would far outweigh the cost of a replacement.
although you cannot see damage / the when the buttons do not respond. its possible that membrain is damaged or the eoc ( clock ) is not able to receive signals from the touch pad .. the clock will have to be replaced . list price for clock is 171.00 and includes membrain ( touchpad) .. hope this will help mm
Resetting the TV If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1.Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2.Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3.Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4.Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5.Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6.Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7.Turn on the TV.
