The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

After downloading your pictures, put the memory card back into the camera and format it. This will clear the card and prepare it for further use. FixYa is full of people asking how to retrieve pictures from cards that haven't been formatted recently.

I cant take picture just see them

The camera does not take a picture when I press the Shutter button.
• Press the Shutter button all the way down.
• Make sure you are in Picture Capture.
• The memory card or internal memory may be full. Transfer images from the camera to your computer, then format the internal memory or the memory card. Or replace the card with a new one.
• The camera may be processing. Wait a few seconds for the camera to finish processing the last image before taking another picture.

If this dont solve it, send us additional details in your description.

How do you upload pictures on the internal memory?

If you normally upload your pictures by connecting via the USB port, remove the memory stick before connecting the camera to the computer. If you normally upload your pictures by putting the memory stick into a card reader, use the camera's memory stick tool to copy the pictures from internal memory to memory stick.

Problem Uploading pictures

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

Help, I can't upload my pic's to my computer, I am using a port that worked

If you have a SD card, or any other in fact, you can get a card reader/writer at most electronics stores. This will enable you to use a card reader instead of using the camera to upload pictures.

I use a card reader all the time, and never (almost never) use a usb connecting cable to the camera to upload the pictures.
One problem which can arise is that the camera may have internal pictures taken with no card. If this is the case, you can in most cameras, copy from the internal memory to the memory card. I realize that there are digital cameras which have no way to record to internal memory, only on the memory card whether that is a SD or some other kind.

As to your direct problem. Try to reset ALL in the internal menu.

Try copying your pictures to your hard drive and delelting the pictures off your camera. See if an empty memory card will change things.
