What you are trying to do is a rather big job. Hire a company to connect the equipment properly. The headaches you save will be your own. If you install it, you will have to fix it everytime it goes out if you contract someone to install it and you buy a support contract when they install it, THEY get to come fix it and the headache is theirs, not yours. And NEVER install that type of router in an attic, they will overheat and fail very quickly.

Hi,
My name is Ben and I'm your guru, i.e., mentor, an influential teacher or popular expert: a management guru. - origin from Sanskrit, 'weighty, grave' for today.
I suggest that you click on the following link and download the Linksys setup wizard: Linksys Setup
The following link will hook you up to the largest FREE database on the Internet: Free Driver Downloads
Connect all the cables then hop on a PC connected to the router. With a web browser go to: 192.168.1.1 Here you will enter "admin" (without the quotes) for BOTH the username and password. Once you are in you may configure the router to your liking.
Linksys Router WRT110 supports Wireless G plus MIMO and it will have
a maximum transfer rate of 108Mbps (double the size of regular Wireless G routers)
Router setup You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed. then: Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem. Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.
Before you do a reset try to login to the router by typing 192.168.1.1 in the webrowser ..
If that fails then look on the back or under the router and there is a reset button. Press and hold for 10 sec ... The let sit for a min or 2 then try logging into it..
Note: That the router will have to be setup again. Default login admin for the password .. don't enter any usernames
Extremely slow loading times. Everything appears to be working fine but it is slower than a 56k modem.
