Just get the user manual from the Pioneer site - you will need to register first as a customer.

You can get full operation manual and instructions from " http://www.cdrecorders.org.uk/pdr555rw.php", or Here's a manual in several languages for you:

If you are just using RCA plugs then it should be like this:
Tape player:
RCA OUT -----> Receiver Tape IN
Receiver:
Tape or source OUT -------> CD Recorder IN
CD Recorder:
OUT -------> Receiver CD IN
Remember, to listen to the CD, you got to change the source on the receiver back to it.

Here is a link to download a copy of the user manual, you should be able to find what you need in there along with just about everything else!

Well all you need to do is hook up a source for it to record from such as a cd player. Plug the cd player into the input on the recorder, pop in a cd R or cd RW disc, hit play on the cd player and record on the recorder. It's very similar to recording with a VHS tape in that the cd needs to play all the way through for the burner to record it.

I could have figured out I need a manual by myself what I need to know is the process of getting the CD recorder to record
Both soultions stated the completely obvious get an owners manual for a PD-R555RW cd recorder. DA! If I had access to a manual I would not have a problem. The Unit I have I bought used on E-Bay It has no manual I can't download one all that is avialable is service manuals which would be great if I need a wiring schematic but I don't. This is what I feed . The Step by step process of how to record a disc. From insertion of the blank disc to Finalization of the disc
I am using optical cables in and out it is not a connection problem the problem is getting the unit into record mode . I am getting signal on the VU meters . I can play a pre recorded disc on the unit no problem, the problem is getting the unit into a working record mode
It is not a connection problem. As stated in previous posts ....
A. I am using Optical in and out
B. The unit works in play mode with regular pre recorded CD's
C. When a regulars CD is playing there is a green light bar above the cd drawer that lights up
D. There is signal going to the unit as signal is registering on the VU meters
E. When trying to record I have no Green light
F. I am using a Recordable CD ( not a RE-Recordable CD)
Now that the Facts are clearly stated can you help me?
