With the power unplugged, check the tab inside the bulb socket to be sure its not burned or damaged, also,, at times a new bulb is no good, If you have a multimeter,, put the selector to continuity ,, and place the black lead to the bulb base, and the red lead to the center point at the bottom of the bulb, if you get no reading, the bulb is no good, ( if you don't have a meter, screw it into another lamp, as long as your sure the dryer light socket is a 120v not a 220 volt

Fix a burned out light bulb on dryer?

there should be a light bulb housing in the inside back of the dryer. most just need a screw driver to open in, just remember to unplug the dryer before do any kind of electrical work...that includes changing a light bulb. unscrew the housing, make sure not to lose any of the screws. with the correct light bulb, just replace the burnt out one with a new working one.

My light bulb went out in my dryer and I bought a regular replacement bulb from home depot and it doesn't work. Does my dryer need a special bulb?

Hello Eric;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

In general all appliances require a special bulb; your oven, refrigerator - the bulbs are designed for the service - extreme hot or extreme cold.
These bulbs are expensive.

2004 jeep grand Cherokee back brake and night lights not working reverse is fine

I had the same problem. Check bulbs in fact buy new ones. I had a bad bulb although it looked fine. Then it is how you twist them in and sometimes it is the contacts where they touch are cleaned ( or even pry'd up with a pocket screwdriver just a little). Oxidation was what I ran into and bad about to go out bulbs. If you overturn or overtwist they also will not work. They are not so cut and dry..,play with it a little more!

My dryer turns on but wont run

There are several bimetallic heat sensor switches in a dryer. Check them first, then the continuity of the door switch, then the control unit ( I usually get mine rebuilt), finally the motor as a last resort.

One low beam head lights will not work, high beam works though

check for a damaged wire for the low beam. Also wouldn't hurt to check the ground wire as the high beam will try and ground through the low beam but not visa verse

Rear night driving lights do not work, although all other one (stop, signal, backing up) lights work. Headlights work fine. could you help assessing this problem ? Thanks,

Have you replaced the bulb. They are 2 part bulbs. I would start there. If that does work let me know and we can go from there

I replaced both H1 bulbs on my 2002 hyundai XG350 and the normal daytime lights work fine but when Itry to use the hi beams to flash another driver they don't respond although the blue light indicato

i think the problem is more likely to be a relay but yes it could be a fuse but which one is for the lights i honestly do not know but if no fuse layout then check the 10/15 amp fuese as its most likely to be one of these

My mitsubishi verada 97 requires H7 light bulbs although some one has fitted H4 bulbs which are three pronged. H7 are 2 pronged but narrower and will not fit socket. Is there an adapter or a workaround....

Veradas use a special two pronged bulb. I'm not sure if it is a two pronged h4 or a larger h7.
Switch you're high beam lights to the normal beams for the time being (assumeing they are working fine) then take it to mitsubishi for new bulbs

Radio panel light is out

this radio panel is lighted from the rear by a tiny light bulb, to replace it u must remvove the radio and then take the top off the radio, under the top cover u will find a bulb socket, it twists out, the bulb is about $2 at almost any car parts store. U will need a set of special tools to release the spring clips that hold the radio into the dash.
