The input shaft on the transmission is snapped. The shaft is snapped off from its fitting. This causes the belt to slip/ wobble. The belt should not wobble. There should be zero wobble.Only the belt should smoothly spin, but not wobble.---- Check the shaft.------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
You are right the pully is not suppose to wobbing, replace the pully, it could be loose. but you need to replace it.
First remove the plastic cover onthe underside of the deck. See if the belt came off the crank pulley. If soclean the groove of the pulley if it has grass built up in it as that sometimesthrows the belt. Also, check to see if you can move the pulley back and forthon the crankshaft. If there is any play between the pulley and the crank, replace the pulley. If the belt came off the trans axle side you may need to disconnectit from the deck and remove the wheel adjusters from the deck to allowclearance to slip the belt over the pulley. When tipping the machine on itsside to work on it, make sure the carburetor side is up. Good luck!

I've already done all this before. The belt is jumping off the transmission side. I already have it torn down. Is there supposed to be angular tolerance in the transmission pulley shaft? The belt seems to be in good shape should I change it as a mater of course.?
There's nothing wrong with the pulley it's fine.???
AGAIN: Is there supposed to be angular tolerance in the transmission input shaft that the pulley attaches to?
AGAIN: Is there supposed to be angular tolerance in the transmission pulley input shaft? BTW: the pulley is fine.
Problem with the Honda Power Lawn Mowers
The drive belt on my Honda HRB215 keeps jumping off. I took the mower apart far enough to get at the belt and noticed the the drive shaft going into the transmission is wobbling around like the bearing is shot. But maybe it's supposed to do that??? what's the fix to keep the belt on.???
Sorry that's not it. I turned the pulley by hand with the transmission engaged and it turns the driveshaft and wheels correspondingly. Thanks but you're not helping me by guessing, so stop.
