You will either need to connect the front pannel connector on the several pin located on the motherboard or you can short circuit this by using a pen or screw driver and contact the 2 red pins (on the front pannel connector)
The front pannel for the mother board veris with model no in all the mother board you will see the details printed in the in the motherboard as you said look in the motherboard for details named jp1 the detailed pin instructions will be given
i can not find your motherboard on gigabyte web site. however the boards nowadays are standard as far as front panel header goes.
on gigabyte mother board you will see the hedae as two rows of pins like this.

the bottom row first 4 pins are the speaker pins. the next single pin is void the next two are reset switch. the last two are hard disk lead. the top row first two pins are message lead (usually not used). the next two pins are power switch exactly opposite the reset switch.
the power lead connection on gigabyte boards are a three pin header next to the front panel header.
try to check the connection on the board wether its proper if no then check the manual of the board it will help u also check the setup in the bios also there r setting in some program of the sound software check this should solve the problem

First need to check front usb cable attached on mother board usb plug or not if its not attached so plug in to this pannel and then after you can access it.
connect the front panel audio to the yellow coloured header you can see near the white coloured PCI Slot. in the above picture it is shown in the top right hand corner.

Unfortunately, this motherboard does not appear to have USB headers on the motherboard itself so the only way that you can connect up the front motherboard headers is by getting an USB PCI card that has headers on it. Something simillar to this:
