If it's an older unit start with pulling the muffler and cleaning exhaust port and spark arrestor. while muffler is off sta.rt the unit and check for improvement. if no improvement clean & adjust carb. if improved with no muffler, test again with muffler installed. if unit goes back to running poor replace muffler.

Weed eater runs fine till I tilt it down to start trimming then it dies??

Check the gas line that is in the fuel tank . It has a filter on it and if its not down at the bottom of the tank where it should be then its not getting the gas it needs. If you tip it the gas may be too low for the hose to pick up. The hose needs to be on the bottom.

My murray m2510 gas weed eater runs at idle but when i go past fast idle it wants to die. i put a new spark plug in it, it didn't change. what could be the problem? it started doing it last fall.

Sounds like fuel problem. You may want to check the vent on the fuel tank. It can get clogged and won't provide enough fuel to run at higher rpms. I'm not familiar with that engine, but its a problem I've had in the past with weed eaters and chainsaws.

i do not think this is a voltage issue, this a wattage or power out is not enough power in watts to keep the weed eater running, you need to know what wattage the weed eater requires to run.

even though you have a generator that says it will run 3000watts, but in the generator only runs at 1500watts continuously running time until it runs out of gas.

know lets say your generate say 2000watts, that means you are only going to get 1000watts continuously unit you run out of gas.

check the compression on your weedeater low compression will cause this

Weed eater starts but won't stay running

just bought a new Poulan 25cc 2cycle gas power weed eater . I can start it with the choke on but as soon as put on run it dies.

Poulan prolink 31cc starts for a second and then dies i did a carb over haul there isnt a high low screw to turn and replaced the spark plug

Weed eater starts, runs 5 min. then cuts off

The gas cap may be clogged.

The next time you run the trimmer and it starts to die, loosen the gas cap. If it starts running again, then you know that it's a clogged gas cap.

You may also check the air breather, it may be dirty as well.
