The macine said it was an E6 error thread jam which I completely cleaned the bobbin area (not much there anyway) but I still cannot get it to not jam the thread on the botom. I have changed needles also.

Hello

This code tells you that the motor locked up because the thread is tangled. Untangle the thread, make sure the machine is threaded properly and that the proper tension is set before continuing.

It could be that the bobbin is being put in upside down check to make sure that you do not need a bobbin with a magnet on one side. also make sure there is no thread tangled inside the bobbin housing it will cause the timing of the machine to be off and cause issues with your needle picking up the bobbin and thus cause a mess inside you bobbin housing

My singer soulmate 5500 keeps coming on E6 and I have a threaded correctly and the Bobben is OK so I don't know what the problem is can you help me

he error E6 on a Singer Soulmate 5500 sewing machine is typically associated with a threading error. If you have confirmed that the thread is correctly threaded and the bobbin is in good condition, here are a few other things you can try:
  1. Check the needle: Make sure the needle is the correct size and type for the fabric you are sewing, and that it is securely inserted into the machine.
  2. Check the tension: The tension of the thread may be incorrect. Adjust the tension dial until the thread is feeding through smoothly.
  3. Clean the machine: Dirt and debris can build up in the machine over time, causing issues with the threading and operation. Clean the machine thoroughly and make sure the threading path is clear.
  4. Check for thread jams: Remove any thread that may be jammed in the machine and clear the path for the thread.

I have a Brother XR9500prw, Error code E6 came on the screen. I did top thread again. No tangle so I continue to input numbers for the lettering font. The machine will do nothing. How do I fix this?

Q: What does E6 error message mean? A: The motor locked up because thread is tangled Q: How to fix E6 error message? A: Do the following:
  • The upper thread could be tangled. Remove the upper thread and any loose threads. Raise the pressure foot, raise the needle to its highest position and rethread the machine.
  • Remove the bobbin and bobbin case to clean any lint or loose threads. Install the bobbin case so that the projection on it aligns with the spring. Then install the bobbin into the bobbin case.
  • The needle could be bent. Replace the needle making sure the flat side is facing the back.

How can I free up the thread take up lever whcih is seized in my brother bc2100 sewing machine?

Cut the jammed thread away, carefully. It may only need the thread path cleaned of all loose thread bits after you cut off what's gotten jammed up on the lever.

When I turn the knob to move the needle to catch the bobbin thread, it hits something underneath and won't keep going down. The same thing happens when I turn the knob in either direction. It's...

Have you removed the bobbin case to clean it? If so, it probably needs to be reseated. Remove the bobbin. Take out the case and reinsert it. If you can't get the bobbin out easily, there is probably thread clotted up somewhere under the feed dogs. I usually gently rock the handwheel back and forth as I brush the bobbin case area to begin dislodging the "clot." It also helps to remove the throat plate so you have a better view of the mechanics under the feed dogs. You'd be surprised at all the goop that can be caught but you can't see. If you do find a thread clot, use a machine brush and tweezer to gently remove each thread bit. I really hope this helps you. If it does, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice. Thanks!

Ihave anerror E6 and I can no find the problem

Hi! The E6 error means the thread is tangled. I suggest you completely unthread the machine, including the bobbin. clean out any lint or bits of thread in the bobbin area, and carefully rethread.
Hope this helps!

Bottom tread keeps jamming and getting all knoted up. The display gives me an E6 error code. what can i do

try re-threading your machine. usually when the machine is jammed at the bobbin or when the needle gets stuck to the bobbin thread, it means that there is an error with the thread. make sure that the thread isn't pulled through the wrong side of the needle, wrapped the wrong way around the wheels on the top, and that the bobbin is threaded correctly. if this doesn't work, you may want to contact their hotline.
