Go into the menu and reset all settings back to default. Then make sure you have the flash set to AUTO... if it's too dark, the flash should be on!

Hope this helps...

What is the best setting for indoor concerts? Alot of my pictures are blurry & either too dark or too light.

No flash, right? Concert pix are some of the hardest to do. 80% recovery is pretty good.
Don't use a speed slower than 60 (1/60th second).
try us use telephoto as much as possible, leaving the dark areas out of the picture. The camera metering gets confused when you have too much audience and other areas that are not lit up like the stage.

Kodak C643 dark pictures

Change to a higher ISO sensitivity setting. It is probably on 80. Change to the highest setting which is probably 400. If you can get much higher, like 1600, then try that.
If you use the flash, it may be better to not use it... try a few pix with & without the flash (after you set the ISO to the highest setting).

Next camera, get one that will go to 1600 or 3200 ISO.

Hope this helps!

Dark photos

  • Be sure camera is set to the Green auto, not the A (A= aperture priority)
  • Be sure your white balance is on auto.
  • Be sure your EV is set to 0
  • Be sure your lens is on M/A, not M
  • Check the internal meter. See if it is showing a middle of the graph reading when the camera is on auto. If it is and you still get dark pix, might be time for Nikon repair.

Try it with a different set of battery. It is possible that one of your battery is "dead" or close to it, and the camera shuts down.

You have to find the bad battery.

It worked for me.
