Microline 320 Hi, my printer is the OKIDATA microline 320 9 Pin Printer. It's not a Turbo, and has slightly different buttons than the ones listed in the Microline 320/321 Turbo/n 9Pin Printer user's guide. My printer is acting as it is not accepting any commands from the computer. I am interested in trying out the reset routine "printer Reset" listed on page 64 of the user's guide, but I am unable to locate the SHIFT key on the printer, as it's not available on my unit. Dave

Installed a new okidata microline 320 turbo dot matrix printer and now the tear/set button does not set the paper where i need it to as my old printer did. How can i change the tear line setting?

Make sur that the paper length is correct in the settings. With paper in the printer hold down the "SHIFT" button then press the "SEL/MENU" button. The "SEL" indicatr will light up. Now press the "PARK" button, a settings page will print. Select your paper length you require by going through the settings, if you press the "LF" button it wil take you through the different groups of settings, the "FF/LOAD" button wil take you through the different items in the groups and the "TEAR" button will change the settings on the different items. To save the new settings hold down the "SHIFT" button and press the "SEL/MENU" button.

Okidata Microline 320 works with cover off only

i think its time to update your printer. but if you want to keep it then maybe the cover is not put on the right way or it is blocking the process described. in these cases you can't really solve it.

Use the IBM proprinter driver for this printer and select IBM in the menu of the printer.

Microline 320 turbo won't go into menu mode

just use the buttons, SHIFT+SEL(MENU) with the printer on and you will see the MENU light

What driver are you using, you should try the IBM Proprinter Driver.Hope this helps.
