Non-Epson cartridge Hi, I have an Epson picture mate and, until about six months ago was able to print from this using cheaper cartridges not manufactured by Epson. I recently went backpacking around the world and have returned with lots of photos - only to find that my printer will now only print from official Epson cartridges (I still have 4 full cartridges left!). Can you help me to resovle this problem please? Thanks

    I purchased Epson Pcturemate T5570 compatible ink cartridge from inksell.com. Printergets stuck saying "Printing..." and the 4x6 sheet of paper is halfway in the printer. I can print a nozzle test page just fine,

Yes this is a common problem. Go to Epsons web site and download any updates and this will usaully fix it. If not reinstall your printer and then again check for updates.

hi, first turn the printer off and unplug it and let set for 30 mins. Ig that doesn't work try taking the cartridge out and reaching inside where you put the cartridges go and clean the print head with alcohol with a q-tip.

Have not used my epson cx7400 printer in months and the printer head is probably clogged up. Tried installing ink but did not fix problem

I know you said you changed the ink, but you must use Genuine Epson Cartridges. Epson Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.
These printers have a chip, that will detect if it is Generic or Genunie. When using Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can MAKE YOU & keep selling the ink cartridges.

Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it. Gets costly.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

My printer will not recognise non epson cartridges

ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!! How you were able to use generic is amazing. I was not able to do that!

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. Unused printer
Hi, the print heads are clogged up usually caused by leaving a ink cartridge in the printer when not using it, ie over time, but epson have this problem alot.
you could try this http://www.supermediastore.com/cleaning-cartridge.html
ie if head cleaning dont work,,

this should fix it, otherwise its $48 + vat was the cheapest i found for new print heads or £75 for epson to fix it.
i would replace printer ie if cartridge dont work,,
