There is also an alternative to burning cd/dvd. you can also use a external memory stick these are inexpensive and plug into your USB port. they come in several different memory sizes and are found almost everywhere. these are sometimes even better than the cd/dvd cuz you can't damage the surface like a cd. hope this helps please rate this solution. thanks
Use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools)
It will be a lot easier.
Click on "Start" in the lower left-hand corner of the desktop screen. Then select "All Programs," "Accessories" and "Windows Explorer." Step2Open the DVD burner tray and insert a blank DVD or CD. Close the tray. Step3Navigate to the hard drive that has the files to be burned. Click on the files or folder to be burned, and drag to the DVD burner drive icon in Windows Explorer. Step4Select "File," then "Write these files to CD." Ensure that all the files that need to be written to the CD or DVD are on the list in the temporary files area that can be found in Windows. The CD writing wizard will open; follow the instructions in the wizard. Step5Remove the CD or DVD when finished and apply label. Close drive tray. thanks. please rate the solution.
If your computer has a CD or DVD writer and a black CD or DVD that all you need , you can just copy the fiels and send it to your CD or DVD writer drive and XP can automatically copy the files..
Hope that helps.........
First open new folder and copy paste all your data in the folder and then use the DVD R to burn a DVD Make sure you make the disk as Data disk to ensure to can read all the data in this format...
Good luck....
You need a dvd burner.. it doesn't matter what your internet provider is.
you also need a burner program for example nero, which has a backup program build in.
www.nero.com
nero also comes with some dvd burners for free.
You can also use the build in program into windows.
