I have a 1993 Subaru impreza hatchback 4d with the 1.8 liter engine. I opened the back hatch and put my bike in it this morning and this afternoon I attempted to take it out but the handle failed to open the hatch. I used the power locks which sounds like it worked but again the door failed to open. I used the key manually and the same result. I do not understand how a door that has worked thousands of times can all the sudden stop operating. Any advice on how to open the back hatch again would be appreciated. I use the back hatch every day so this answer is of great importance.

There could be a button or something similar on the inside of the door to prevent it from opening by kids or by accident which you could trigger when you put in your bike. Hope this helps.

What year manual transmission fits to a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX?

Pretty much any "EJ" transmission will fit any "EJ" engine, the only problems are whether the clutch is a pull or push type release bearing? That will also make a difference how the clutch slave cylinder mounts up. If it isn't a turbo model trans, it will not take the HP that the engine puts out for very long. The Impreza STI manual trans will bolt up, but there will be some exhaust fitment issues where the down pipe bracket connects to the trans.

I can't find the coolant temperature regulator on my Subaru

Hello, your coolant temp sensor is mounted on the cylinder head coolant crossover pipe. If your standing at the front of your car with the hood open, if your looking at the engine the sensor is to the left of the throttle body under the intake manifold. I think it takes the open end of a 19mm wrench to unscrew it. There are 2 sensors back there and it's the larger of the 2.
