SOURCE: Hitatchi tv problem

A fuse has probably blown inside the TV, I had something similar with a panasonic TV a number of years ago. Open the back up and use a continuity tester across your fuses till you find the right one...................dont forget to unplug it first !!

SOURCE: Hitachi 55" Plasma HDTV, 1 yr old, suddenly lost picture and sound, but power light still on.

It sounds like a shutdown circuit is being activated. This is normal in cases where the power supply id drawing excessive current. I would suggest that you get this looked at by a qualified professional. This is because this problem may be in the power supply and the voltages can get dangerous in this section of the TV set.

In any event if this is a power supply problem chances are the technician will just have to replace the power supply. Which should cost from 150-250 dollars.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: My TV has little green dots all over the picture.

that is called diffusion. that can be adjusted out in most cases by adjusting the y sustain pcb but can also be the main pcb, the logic pcb and panel itself but not likely

TV wont turn on, makes buzzing noise and shuts off

I have two RCA HD52W59 TV's. I have had one for 3 years and one 4 years. The one I have had for 4 years is giving me the problem. Last week the tv turned off while watching it. It wouldnt come right back on. 10 minutes later we tried and it worked fine. the other night the kids were watching and it turned off and smelled like something burning. I tried turning it right back on and got no power at all. I tried to turn it on two days later and it made a buzzing noise and the green light went out. Never did get a picture, no powering up on the screen. Any ideas? Don't want to spend alot of money. Really loved the TV hope it isnt junk now. Better yet I hope the same thing doesnt happen to the other one I have.

Samsung lcd tv ltm1755b won't turn on (power light stays red)

Problem: Samsung LTM1755B with only a blinking yellow LED when you try to turn it on.

Solution: I just had one of these come in. I opened it up, and found the U501 capacitor a little suspicious looking, in that it had a deformed top. It was a 470uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 12mm. I replaced it with a very good quality 1000uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 16mm Nichicon UHN1C102MPD. After that repair, when I tried to turn it on, the LED was yellow for a second, then green, then I got a picture, and it appeared to work great. I then asked the owner a week later how it was working, and they said it was working just like new!

Sears Craftsman 1/2 HP 139.53985

Check the wiring. when you installed the new sensors did you run all new wire? Sometimes during an installation the installer staples the wires to the wall then across the cieling to the opener. Sometimes the stapler will pierce the wires or be too tight and over time a short will occur. If all the wires are exposed (you can see them) slide them abit and see if theres a really tight one. (Helpfull if you have an assistant stare at the sensors to see if something happens). If thier buried in the wall then run new wires. Sometimes the drywallers will hit a wire with a screw when thier doing thier job.
