Can't connect to web configuration

Hi, You are correct. The CD is not compatible with Mac. What you have to do is Configuring the Router Manually using the Web Based Configuration panel.
How to:

1. Open your Web Browser
2. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the Address Bar and hit Enter
3. If you have changed the address somehow you have to enter that (Router's IP - Default Gateway)
4. Here is a small guide to Fine your routers IP address in case of that you are unable to access
5. Enter the user name (default user name is blank- means no user name. Just leave it blank), Default password is admin.
6. Now you can configure the Router using the Menus.
7. Make sure that you have Saved your settings before Exit the Web Based Setup.
8. Make sure that you have changed the Default Password.

• If you can’t access the router’s web-based setup page, please check the following: cable connections, router’s LEDs, IP address, and connectivity.
• Connecting Devices Together
• Ensure that you have an Active Internet Connection and connect the modem to the router’s Internet port and the Mac to any of the four Ethernet ports.
• Checking the Router’s LEDs
• After connecting your modem and Mac to the router, check the lights on the front panel of the router.
• Checking the Router’s IP Address
• To find a Linksys router’s Local IP address, you have to check the IP settings of the Mac
• Checking the Mac’s Connectivity with the Router
• Ensure that the Mac is properly connected to the router.

You need to connect a standard network patch cable between port 1 and the ethernat port on your computer. To access the Web-based Utility, launch Internet Explorer, and enter the Router’s default IP address, 192.168.1.1, in the Address field. Then press Enter. This should bring up the router confiuration web page.
The password request page should appear. Leave the User Name field blank. The first time you open the Web-based Utility, use the default password admin.(You can set a new password from the Administration tab’s Management screen.) Then click the OK button.

 Let me clarify this  your internet works when your PC is hooked up directly to the modem....
When you connect the router between the pc and the modem the internet does not work....
This sounds like the configuration settings inside the router need to be setup or adjusted. 
Go to the web browser and type in 192.168.0.1 and for the username type admin and then leave the password blank hit enter and it should sign you into the router. Follow the setup wizard and everything should work just fine.

seems like there is DNS confiuration set in the wirless porperties page.

right click on the "My network Places" go to porperties. right click on the wirless connection.
go to TCP/IP under the "connection uses the following items." high lite the TCP/IP adn select the porperties box.
under hte genral tab
Obtians an IP address automatically
under alternate configuration
make sure nothing is checked. click OK and close.
try to connect again.

There could be a problem with the wireless configuration on ur belkin router.

Go ahead and type the following in the command prompt of ur computer.

ipconfig

:-This will list out the ip address and the default gateway of the computer
:-Make a note of Default Gate way.
:-Type the default gate way address in to the address bar of the internet explorer.
:-It will take u to the router configuration page.
:-it might ask u to enter router password.(Enter it)
:-In the router page u could see wireless settings options on the lefthand side of ur router confiuration page.
:-Make it appropriate accordingly
:-if u do not know what to do with wireless settings ..then send me ur product details ..will tell u further querries..

Most of the time the wireless device do not connect to router due to wrong "Wireless network key"
:Make sure you have same wireless netwrok settings in the devices as in the wireless router.

Your Verizon DSL modem might be set to BRIDGE MODE. Try connecting the router again. Connect your pc to your router. Access the configuration page of the router. Set the INTERNET CONNECTION TYPE to PPPOe. You need to enter on that page the USERNAME and PASSWORD for your VERIZON DSL. Hope this helps.

Step One : plugin the router with your computer/laptop with the help of the cable. use port 1.

Step Two : open the web broweser and type http://www.routerlogin.net/ or http://192.168.1.1/.

Step Three : it would ask you for username and password. enter Username : admin and Password : password .

Step Four : Confiuring the router.

1) please avoid setup wizard and confure it manually and follow the steps below.

2) you would need to click on left frame buttons for the cnigration to come on the right side.

3) in setup section on the right side please click on basic settings and configure as below:
a) Does Your Internet Connection Require A Login?
Answer : No
b) for the next three options its the first choice should be like that from default, if not please set all to automatic.

Then,
Click "Apply"

4) On the right menu now click on wireless settings in the setup section.

a) give a SSID name that is a name you want to see when connecting to the the wireless router while connecting from a wireless device. E.g. ( "mp's netowrk",etc.)

b) set security option as WPA-PSK the third option.
give a password like "abcde12345" should be 10 charactes and alpha-numerical. ( This option is to make your Wi-Fi more secure and to avoid unauthorized access. Key lifetime : 60minutes

then click Click "Apply"

5) Now on the right menu goto advanced section below and click on Wireless Settigns.

a) Check both the options to enable both the Wireless Router Radio and SSID Broadcast.

Then Click "Apply".

Router Config Done..Now on the right side click in "Logout" (bottom most option)

after the router logout is done close the web browser and remove the network cable and the the power cable from the router.

Post Configring Steps :
a) Swich off the dsl modem.
b) plug the dsl cable to the internet jack in the router.
c) plug in the router power cable back to switch on the router.
d) Switch on the DSL Modem.

Wait for 15 Seconds.

Connect to you wireless netowrk using you laptop or wireless card in your computer and provide the WPA-PSK - TKIP passord which you had given in router for preventing unauhorized access.

Bingo !! you are connected...and more secure.

You would need to configure your netgear router to accpect trasfers from a multimedia device like psp. and also psp can only support only WPA-PSK (TKIP) Encryption.

Please Follow the below steps to do the same.(please perform the steps in a already connected device like a laptop or a desktop using a Wi-Fi Card.

you say it suddenly stopped working, if you can connect to the router via ethernet cable then try to access the router's web utility page and make sure your router is in mixed or G-only. If you can't still connect to the router through wireless then try restarting the Wireless Zero Configuration from windows. This is how it's made: Go to control panel and double-click "administrative tools", then double-click "services". You will see a list, scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration and click "stop", you'll see a progress bar. After that click "start", you'll see another progress bar. Now try connecting to your router via wireless connection. If you still can't connect then repair the connection by right-clicking the wireless icon at the bottom right corner. Keep repairing until you connect.
