I have a set of SoundSticks (the original, USB connection).
Recently, they suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. I contacted Harman/Kardon and they were little help telling me there was nothing they could do because they don't support the USB style ones anymore.
The little blue LED in the iSub is still light, so it's not any form of power failure. And my computer still recognize the system, when I reconnect them.
Does anyone have any similar experiences? Can anyone think of any solutions/diagnostics.
Many thanks.
My brother-in-law has the same problem, he found that there's a capacitor is broken (melted) inside the sub base, after replacing the capacitor it's working again, you might want to inspect the capacitors inside the sub

Same thing here. One day, they just stopped singing. Power is still going to subwoofer, light is on, and systems is recognised in Sound ouput menu. No sound though.
Me too. Light is on and they appear in my WIndows Control Panel under Sound.
finally, I found people who are having same exact problems as me. I just love the sound that hard for me to just throw it away. I tried to throw it away many times, just couldn't.
Hi, I have the same issue with harmon/kardon speakers. They have worked for several years but for some reason recently the sound has quit working. The blue light is still on, I have checked all connections and restarted the computer. Still no sound....anyone have any advice? i also check the configuration and yet no sound at all anyone can give me a help?it happend after i moved my computer from overseas to other huse
I have The same problem with my speakers, have done the same trouble shooting, what have noticed is that the black cord mounted to the main sub if you wiggle it it will start to produce the sound but that was last year. Now I notice the sound is minute to what used to pump out when I first bought them.
