Casio Exilim z75 - unable to take pictures

Sounds as though the sd card release spring has broken (in the camera card slot.) Perhaps a pair of tweezers and a good pull will get it out? The card not the broken side spring. Hope this helps!

Try doing this.....

Turn the camera on and in picture taking mode press menu. Go to the 3rd tab (setup) and then go down to reset. Press right and make sure ok is highlighted and press the select button. Then try taking some more pictures and see if that helps. If not then that would be something that would have to be sent in for repairs.

The LCD will not show the picture until you put the ribbon all the way inside the connector

I have the exact same problem. Casio wants the camera mailed in and charges $79 for a new LCD screen (if that is the problem). Any other suggestions?
