hi, Is there is white horizontal thine line on all over the screen then the screen voltage of you TV is high. Can be caused by bad base socket in the picture tube neck, faulty focus/screen block. Check the two things. You can see the base socket at the picture tube neck replace all the three base sockets for the three CRTs. if problem remains then you have to replace the focus/screen block. focus/screen block is one through which you can adjust the screen voltage and focus voltage. If the potentiometer in side it have some problem then this problem can occur. Have added the image for two items for your reference. ok
YES. Remove whatever finder you are using, remove old focusing screen, use blower to blow out and replace screen. Pretty straight forward. Should be instructions in owners manual.
Ir should just be a rubber hose. Just slide it back onto the fitting again. If the plastic tail has broken off the nozzle you will need to get another from Ford to replace it before hooking it back up.
The Convergence circuit needs to be repaired.
There is a pair of Convergence IC's that need to be replaced. Best thing to do is to call a repair facility unless you have a solid back ground in Projection repair.
Hope this helps,
Skyassoc
Replace the two convergence Ics they are STK392-110 if your model is the 53FDX20B you can get replacement Ics with installation instructions at the following link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Good Day, Butchilee,
Sounds like you have patience, hope your TV has some trace left. Hit recommends that you replace the originals with
STK-392-150's and the resistors. Replace said items with care then back down on the screen/ focus controls and gradually bring the screens up until you have pic, adjust focus. Go into customer menu and adjust color down, set brightness to 50%, contrast to 100%. Then go back and adjust the screens for proper, black/white, tracking. AND It's best to double check the soldering connections.
Good Luck, Big Irish.
replace the focus block or try to adjust the screen control on the focus block for red only. this will affect the white balance of the set so adjust it carefully. the focus block is located on the front inside the set. remove the speaker cover then the 4 screws on the front plate. the focus block is 3" x 2" black box with 6 adjustment posts three for focus and three for screen. adjust only the affected screen (R).
That's a DP23 chassis, why replace the deflection board? Does magic focus come on the screen? Does it just no converge the picture? If so, it's likely that the convergence amps have failed.
That unit takes two STK392-110 Sanyo built Ics at board position Ic04 & Ic05. If you replace them I'd upgrade to the STK392-150's for greater reliability.
