wow1: easter egg hunt 2, and worse. there is NONE.
why do that?
wow2 no year stated, now that is a challenge. I-280 (the I matters)
this is USA forum , so not telling what country you are in is a
FAILURE.
wow3, no country.
they sell these cars in Africa and in Australia, (2 random picks)
an guess what, they are not the same cars.
answering for USA spec,cars.....
DO the HAZARDS work?
are the 3 fuses good.? f34,28 and 37?
ill guess now.
Isuzu i-280 2006 USA.... wild guess... toss a coin....
did you scan the PCM /BCM first. to see if there are DTC errors?
on this car the BCM controls TURN SIG's
its not like a 1995 car. at all.
what the BCM does to drive those turns , ive not a clue.
Isuzu does not publish BCM internal drawings, its a secret.
The BCM gets a digital signal from the stalk switch.
then the BCM (if fuses not blow and still programmed right)
activates its high power driver (some cars have transistors here, so no funky old school relays to fail) and the driver turns on
and the blinker glows. with HAZ selected, they all flash. all 4 drivers. that is how it works, ,knowing all that helps diagnosis.
why not post symptoms first.??
turns , hazards? dead, weak, too fast , too slow, left dead, right only, front only, or all are dead, and haz dead.
see? or dim?
symptoms....... matter, as does any thing else on car acting ODD.
your isuzu works much like my Jeep JK and wifes WK jeep.
THE BCM runs all this.
the body computer.
Check fuses first.
then SCAN it,
if you dont scan it , you will fail. if fuses are good.
if the battery voltage is low, the BCM can malfunction.
each car made is unique in what dies first.
but for sure something, will fail in the BCM or PCM.
what fails, with low voltage is not important in this case.
the voltage matters.
we see the BCM act odd in ANY way, see book on things it runs.
we check battery voltage first, then fuses, then scan it.
the brain goes a bit nuts with below spec voltages, near 10v.
the FSM book, turn sig, troubleshooting page
never once says replace any relay or flasher.
zero. 13 steps and step 12 says replace BCM.
see?
what i did on my Jeeps is reverse engineer my BCM.
(we have a forum for that) (1/2 done)
and some are transistors and others are relays soldered on to the main BCM. we can replace ours.
when bad, easy. (spares are $$$$ very expensive...)
but jeeps are very active here, for this hacking...
Isuzu are dead here...USA. not many left and no hackers about.(weak to dead support here.)
Isuzu bugged out in USA (left the country on cars)
so no driving to ISUZU dealers and using their 10x smarter scan tool.
it can in fact command the lamps on 1 by 1, no touching the turn lever..
to prove BCM is bad. see?
Id sell it.... if in USA.
sure would.... get jeep.
