You can use Compact Flash cards (Type I and II) and Microdrive. By connecting with the CF Card adapter (MACF-10), xD-Picture Cards can also be used. Basically, you can use any manufacturer's Compact Flash Card in EVOLT E-300. The following Microdrive cards are verified as compatible with the E-300 camera: DSCM Series - DSCM-10340, DSCM-10512, DSCM-11000 3K4 Series - HMS360402D5CF00, HMS360404D5CF00

Can't get the media card to fit flush in slot

Are you sure you have the right media card - and that you are inserting it the right way? Check the manual for the card type. Check that the card isn't damaged in any way, bent, etc. When the media card goes in it should go almost to flush with the top, but not quite. Does it work? If it does then no problem.

LCD montior not on to see picture before taking picture

On the EVOLT E-300 it is not a camera that has a live view LCD screen that will allow you to see the image before it is taken. You must take the image with viewfinder only and only use the LCD screen for review purposes. This is how the camera was designed.

Transfering from smart media card to cd

Hi,

The simplest would be to read the contents of the media card/camera connected through the USB port of a PC and burn it on the PC's CD/DVD burner. Alternately, instead of the camera/USB/PC/CD burner, you can use a memory card reader for the memory card. Requirements would then be:
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
