Start with printer powered off
1. Open cover of printer and verify that the ink cartridge carriage is not in the center of the printer. Leave cover open.
2. Unplug the electrical cord from the printer and wait 30 seconds.

The black ink on my Brother DCP-130C won't print and it's a brand new ink cartridge. I thought it was a defected cartridge so I bought another one, same thing. The other 3 colours print ok though....

I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.

Canon pixma mp272 printer. replaced black cartridge for the first time and now it wont print. getting error p08 on the printer and error 5200 on my laptop screen

Hello Hellen,
the error P08 is error for abnormal temperature in print head. Aa possible cause the ink cartridge is faulty and needs to be replaced. The same error description is for 5200 on your PC.

I recommend that you try to replace ink cartrigde under warranty in store where you bought it. If after that you still have error, take the printer to the service center because they logic board ( pcb ) is faulty.

Hope that helps!

  • Store the cartridges in an air-tight container, such as the storage unit you received with your photo cartridge, or dispose of them properly.

  • If you are installing new ink cartridges, remove the sticker and transparent tape from the back and bottom of each ink cartridge.
NOTE: The following illustration shows a black cartridge and a color cartridge (used for normal printing). For photo printing, use a photo cartridge and a color cartridge.

Insert the new ink cartridges. Make sure the black or photo ink cartridge is secure in the left ink cartridge carrier, and the color ink cartridge is secure in the right ink cartridge carrier.

Cannon pxima MP 357 no printing & search for e 5200 error to the manual user guide

error 5200 means the printer is unable to detect ink cartridge.

I do suggest you remove the ink cartridges from your printer. Examine the surface contact to where the terminals inside the printer touches. Clean this surface with clothe moistened with alcohol.
After that reinstall the printer and see if the printers successfully detect the cartridges..

Press the stop / reset or the cancel / resume button (the button with inverted triangle enclosed in a circle) hold it for about 5 seconds until the printer self restart.
