Toshiba 61PJ7UA, turn itself off and will not start. Power on light is red but when you hit the remote to turn TV on it clicks but dosent turn on(no green light). I have the circuit boards (particularly around the High Voltage Power Supply).and have resoldered some jiont that looked dry. Still no joy, I dont have circuit diagram. Can you help me narrow down the porblem? Maybe someone else has had the problem.

HERE'S THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM:

I think the problem has nothing to do with your TV. I bet the culprit lies on the setting of your remote control. Maybe you set your remote into a sleep mode. When a TV has set into a sleep mode. It's power on light is still red but doesn't work. So all you've got to do is keep pressing the sleep button. After a few presses, it will definitely work. And, you can now enjoy your day watching TV. Thanks.

Amazingly this worked! The trouble is, the remote seems to be working and the problem seems to be the TV - but you were absolutely right, the TV somehow had gone into sleep mode and needed me to keeping pressing the power button on the remote. The problem was fixed and the TV came on. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - you saved me paying money for a repair man. You are a star!

My television does not display when I turn on the power, a small light in the switch blinks after a short time. Does this indicate a certain failure mode?

my tv, when turned on via remote or manually pressing the power button on tv does not turn on. The TV power light powers on red but makes a clicking sound as if if were turning itself off after power up. (clicks on then clicks off) Humm? What could the problem be? Is there a repair part that is needed? If so. what might that be and is there a schematic or some sort of diagram to show how this issue can be resolved?

Red light flashing while green light stays on

I have the same TV, your projection bulb has quit/failed.

A loud pop was heard and the picture has gone followed by a red led fault light clicking on and off.

if your tv is less than 1 year old, and you registered it with Toshiba, you could qualify for a free replacement.

otherwise expect to pay 200.00 for a new bulb from Toshiba.

only good thing is you can replace it yourself, only tool needed is a phillips screwdriver.

you can check EbaY for prices less than 175.00 to 150.00
i am on my 3rd bulb within 4 years....

42LG6000 image problem (vertical lines and image distorted). Someone already had similar problem? My 42LG6000 TV is very bad equipment in terms of fiability. 6 years ago had a problem and I solved it replacing the two 100uf capacitor in the border in the middle of TV (driver of the T-CON). 2 years ago had another problem (sometimes turns off and not start up) and I solved it replacing all the capacitors in the power supply board that shows the top expanded (I replace 3 X 1500uF, 2 X 1000uF and 2 X 470uF. Now have another problem, the image have vertical lines that distorted the image. We can see the image but the vertical lines distorted the image (not a quality image).
