Hp color laserjet 4700 printing with shadows

If your HP Color LaserJet 4700 is printing with shadows, it could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few potential causes:
  1. Toner Cartridges: The toner cartridges may be low or empty, causing the shadows to appear. It is recommended to check the toner levels and replace the cartridges if necessary.
  2. Toner Smears: The toner smears on the drum or the fuser can cause shadows to appear on the printouts. Clean the drum and fuser with a lint-free cloth and check if the problem persists.
  3. Fuser Unit: The fuser unit could be malfunctioning and may need to be replaced.
  4. Paper Quality: Using low-quality or damp paper can cause shadows to appear on the printouts. Use high-quality, dry paper for better results.
  5. Printer settings: Some printer settings can also cause shadows to appear, such as toner density or print resolution. Ensure that the settings are set to the recommended level.
  6. Dust or debris: Dust or debris inside the printer can cause shadows, Clean the inside of the printer and check if the problem persists.
It is important to diagnose the specific cause of the problem before attempting to fix it. If you are not comfortable with troubleshooting the problem, it is best to contact HP support or a qualified technician for assistance.

I changed my black cartridge, which was low. Now I get color bleeds, mostly yellow, in vertical streaks, on the printed paper.

Install the old black tonner back inside, if the yellow vertical marks disappear then the problem is in the new black tonner

HP Lexmark 4050N Printer is smearing pages with faint ink mark.

This is more then likely due to an old or bad toner cartridge. Away for you to find out is to run a test print and if you listen close you can hear the paper advancing through the printer. It might take you a couple times but try to catch the paper at a point in the printing to where it would be just passing by the toner cartridge and ope the top cover. Remove your toner cartridge and pull the paper out. But becareful when pulling the paper out to not rip it or get toner on you. The toner has not yet been bonded to the paper yet until it passes the fuser at the back of the printer. If the paper shows the smear just after the toner cartridge then there is the issue.

Best of luck... And have a Happy and safe Holidays..

I have a HP Colourjet 2600n which has worked well for 12 months plus. However it has just started printing with thick black smudges along the left of every page. It looks like there is yellow powder...

If you have BLACK Marks on the paper the YELLOW roller does not need to be cleaned usually.

To clean the yellow toner off the roller use a DRY lint free cloth. For this issue my suggestion for a resolution to the Yellow toner issue is replace the toner. They are not supposed to leak in the first place.

As for the BLACK tone on the left of the page you most likely have a Fuser issue causing that.

Yellow not installed

Are you using a factory new HP cartridge? If so, contact HP and request a warranty replacement of the toner cartridge.

Yellow cartridge says low after printing 200 pages for hp laserjet 1600

200 is not much, but possible if you print a lot of pictures at paper size. Normally when a HP 1600 starts notifying about low toner, you still have about 20 %.
