There are some common sizes of belts that are still readily available, but knowing the make and model of the turntable is required. Can you please update this with the make and model?

Thanks,
Dan

Record player doesn't move when I pick up the needle but it sounds like the motor starts. I hear a clicking noise when I move the needle to the record. Model ITRR-501

You can use a small screwdriver to remove the C clip in the center of the platter. Then remove the platter and reinstall the belt. It can be a little tricky to get the belt back on. If that fixes the problem, then I would look online and order a new belt as yours may have stretched out and will keep falling off. Here is a link to purchase the belt if needed.

Cd gets stuck in recorder makes clicking sound..

I would just guess that the belt that is in the eject mechanism is now stretched- That is if there is a belt. That is very common in all CD player units.

I have an old record player. It was made in the 80's according to my mom. I have recently started to use it( it hasn't been used since 86). With the exception of 45s, the record player will only play side...

I must say I have never come upon a record deck that will only play one side of a good condition record!
The only action I can suggest is to replace the belt if it's a belt driven deck. Please make a note of how it fits before removing the belt. But why any record deck would treat a new record any different on one side than the other will be a mystery to any good engineer.
The only exception would be if the deck played one side good then played up on every other record. Till it's switched off for a while, then repeats this action.
The cause of this fault would be a part overheating the longer the deck is left on. When you stop it to turn over, the system fails. This is however more likely to happen on a direct drive turntable, not a belt driven one.

How to fix a Magnavox record player.

It might just need a new belt or a few drops of oil on the motor bearing.
You will have to open it up and check whether the belt has perished, or stretched.

Cs 7400 needle and belt

The belt could be hard to find. but the needle should be easy enough. Most newer record players use a magnetic cartige. These can usually be found at most electronic stores and are standard.
To replace a magnetic cartrige just unscrew the old one from the record player, unhook the plug or four wires from the cartrige, then plug in the new cartrige the same as the old one was removed
and screw it back in. Magnetic cartriges run from 20 bucks to several hundred depending on the
quality. If just toying with the record player get a ceramic or saphire cartrige these are about twenty bucks. To get the best sound quality a diamond stylus is the best these run from 60 dollars to
several hundred. A good diamond stylus should usually cost around a hundred bucks.

As for the belt check around. Local radio company shops , music shops, and electronic repair shops should be able to order one for you. In the odd case their is no belt to be found for the record player. Or perhaps the record player was a tag sale find and not worth spending alot of money on you can "rubber band" it. Your local radio guy won't reccomend this because the record player will not syncronize as well and the rubber will wear out fast. The secret is finding the right combination of rubber bands you want enough tension to make the record player work but no so much as to bend the small wheel on the motor.

Record player belt

Scott, the belt wraps around the bottom of the turntable platter, then put the platter back on your turntable, and you'll have to pinch back a section of the belt and wrap around the brass motor spindle. That's pretty much it!

Good luck.
