There is nothing for the user to here.
If the camera is lessthan one year old then returnit to vendor or contact Canon customer support for replacement.
If more than a year - simply replace the camera

Where to plug in the cord in cononSD30 to copy photos to laptop

The Canon PowerShot SD30 uses a camera station to download and print photos. You will need the "interface cable" that came with your camera and camera station.
  • Attach the USB end of the cable to one of your computer's USB ports, and the other end to the Digital Terminal on the camera station base (see photo below);
  • On the camera, slide the camera mode switch to "Play", then place the camera in the camera station, and turn on the Power.
  • The two devices are now connected, ready for photo downloading.
All instructions are in the "Basic Camera User Guide". If you can't find your Canon SD30 manual, you can download a PDF version from the Canon website at:
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0900011245/01/PSSD30CUGba-EN.pdf

Hope this helps.

When Turning on the Canon Power Shot A530 the

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, or if repair costs close to the value of the camera, they're worth a try.

Powershot SD30 taking blurry pics.

dust could have gotten insode making the focus lens to stick.

you might have to take it to a camera shop for a good cleaning.

dusty places are always bad for electronics.

but sounds like the focus lens is failing, there might be an option to clean the lens electroniclly, most canon has the option. not sure about sony.

good luck

Canon powershot sd30 digital elph

I have same problem. I turn on the camera you hear it trying to come on, shows display pic for like 3 seconds and then shuts down. If I could get the lens to retract I am sure the camera would work.

Help??

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't power on. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

If the above didn't work, then consider the following:
