I have a B&D Grass Hog Cordless CST 1000 trimmer. It recently lost power and eventhough I charge it fully, it only seems to run with half power. Do I need a new battery?...it is only 2 years old and had worked pretty good up until then.
Thanks
Tod

Sorry, but I haven't solved any problem. I'm still waiting on the experts to solve my problem from June 16 on my trimmer not operating even with new fully charged battery. As for your replacement, I would suggest retail stores that sell trimmers, such as Home Depot, Lowes, Ace hardware stores or maybe B&D website.
Is it for a Grass Hog, Model CST 2000? If it is, I have the handle( 243215-00), battery ( 243213-00), wall mount ( 243476-00)and mount & charger( 243248-00).All are used but in very good condition.
For the cordless Grass Hog, the replacement spool is AF-100. You can purchase these spool heads online or maybe find them at your local hardware store, but they may be hard to find because the Grass Hog is not made any more.
You should completely discharge the battery before you charge it again. That should allow more time on the cut unless there is a problem with the bearings or shaft. Good luck...Lee
