Hi,
As you may know, the LP,EP,SP issue is related with VCR 's Recording function only..
it is selectable only before recording session starts..
while it plays any VHS cassette whatever the recorded speed was and it selects automatically..
there should be either a small switch in control panel of VCR or in "SET UP MENU "as
recording speed .

let me know if it does not work out..

How do i fix it

Sway bar bushing, Ball joints and Strut Mounts make these noises. See if the ball joint have grease fittings then get them greased. Check if Control arm bushings have play and can they be pumped with grease. If Control arm bushings have play then change the complete Control arm which will be economical in the long run. Please check and get back to me with more information.

Should there be any play in the frame mount bushings on the lower control arm or the rack and pinion frame mount bushing?

The control arm will move some, the bushings are rubber. Made to do that so the ride isn't like being in a tank. The rack only has one bushing, on the passenger side. If your talking about the bar behind the rack. It is called a sway bay. It has two frame bushings. If the sway bar is moving up and down 1/2 inch, the bushing are bad. There should be some movement, but 1/2 inch is excessive. Again they are rubber. Any thing rubber is going to have movement. But should be sloppy.

Hp designjet 500plus ,first time i change carriage belt ,but now it shown allignment error..

Two thing you need to check:
1. Are you replaced genuine carriage belt?.. Original belt having two type of inner tracks.. Right side horizontal & left side vertical tracks. Are you fixed it properly or not..
2. Check carriage assembly play.If it is over play(carriage bushes may be warn out) alignment won't complete, If bushes are available in your country replace them & do the calibration..If not go down how to alter bush. see the snap shot
3. While carriage movement pl check trailing cable flexibility.
Carriage Bush:

Note:This modification only professional not for users:
Un screw screws both sides as shown in fig, take out bushes estimate how much warn out happened.
Thing needed:
Fevi quik(glue),small peace of miler sheet, scissor & tweezers.
Cut miler sheet in to small peace & insert warn out place of bush(between bush & rail) & apply glue, fix it permanently,do it both sides & check for the carriage play.. once its finished try for alignment.. For this activity no need to remove carriage assembly from the rail. Main aim is alter bush warn out..

Would the control arm bushings make a metal to metal noise . lot of play in those bushings.dont know if the problem is the bushings or ball joints?

If you see a lot of side play in the control arm bushings, replace them.
Even if they aren't the source of the noise you hear, they are very important and should not be ignored. While you are doing that work, it will give you an opportunity to get a good look at the ball joints. If they are rusted under the rubber boots or have excessive play, change those as well. (also look at the brakes and other steering components,,,, they all have a job to do and keep your vehicle safe on the road).
One thing...If the bushings and joints both are bad, you could consider getting a complete control arm from a scrapyard. Cheaper and easier to install.

I own a 2001 RX300 and am noticing a bit of free play in the steering wheel when wheels are straight and the vehicle is moving. Also feel a vibration when driving around 70mph. The tires are ok and...

It sounds like a worn steering rack bush in the steering rack,as this explains the play youve mentioned, the vibration is caused by the wheels moving very slightly through the play in the rack bush, theres 1 letf and 1 right side bush in the ends of the steering rack that would need checking for play or movement

Play motor bushings

I was able to find my motor parts on E-bay, but they're not there all the time. I've also had luck contacting the original manufacturer and requesting replacement parts. If nothing else, they should be able to guide you where to go.

Bush television & DVD error message 'unknown disk'

Some units jusy won't play certain types of recorded DVD discs. I would transfer one to a DVD+R type and see what happens. Buy a good brand like Memorex.

Hope that helps...
