Four AA-size alkaline batteries, lithium batteries, and Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries can be used. The D-460/490 Zoom can also use two Olympus CR-V3 (LB-01) long-life lithium batteries. Olympus recommends the use of Ni-MH batteries or CR-V3 long-life lithium batteries (where applicable).
The Olympus CR-V3 lithium batteries will provide approximately 500 shots with typical usage (half of the images shot with flash/half without flash and minimal use of the LCD monitor). These batteries are not rechargeable.
