If you turn on the back LCD, the electronic viewfinder will remain on while in a shooting mode. There is no setting on the camera to use only the back LCD monitor while shooting. If you playback images in the Play mode, only the LCD monitor will turn on. However, if you press the Monitor button while in the Play mode, than the back LCD monitor will turn off. The image will display only in the viewfinder LCD.

Is sony klv32-a400a is a led or lcd tv

An LED TV is still an LCD TV, just with LED backlighting. That model is an LCD TV. The difference is in the backlight. Both LED and LCD TVs use an LCD screen. LED TVs have LED backlighting of the LCD screen, which saves energy.

My hp lcd monitor screen is accidently suffered a pin hole. how to plug this pin hole to make screen normal and prevent white light from escaping from screen and read words on that part of screen which get...

LCD is Short for liquid crystal display, a type of display used in digital watches and many portable computers. LCD displays utilize two sheets of polarizing material with a liquid crystal solution between them. An electric current passed through the liquid causes the crystals to align so that light cannot pass through them. Each crystal, therefore, is like a shutter, either allowing light to pass through or blocking the light.

If you have a "hole" in it then you will most likely have to replace the display.

Acer monitor has green lines on the scren

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens use less energy and display a clearer picture than the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays that preceded them. These new LCD screens now dominate the computer monitor market. From time to time, however, pixels can become stuck and a green line can display on the screen. Removing this line is sometimes possible without sending the screen to the manufacturer for expensive repair.

Locate the pixels that are stuck on the screen. Download a free screen repair software program, such as UD Pixel or JScreenFix. Run the software and allow it to find and attempt to repair the stuck pixels. Turn off the LCD monitor. Apply the damp cloth directly over the stuck pixels and use a gentle pressure to spread the liquid within the screen.

Blue ink spot on monitor

That is not an ink spot, that indicates the LCD panel is cracked and the "ink" is the liquid parts of the "liquid crystal display" LCD that is coming out from the broken glass. When you have a broken LCD panel you just need to get a new monitor, the panels are not repairable and to replace one will cost almost as much as a new monitor.

Whats the difference between Backlight inverter and LCD??http://www.fixya.com/PostQuestion.aspx?dm=1&ref=thask

Liquid Crystal Display commonly known as LCD is an
electronically modulated optical device made up of any number of pixels filled with crystal.. The one you called the screen.. facing you when you are in front of the lcd monitor
It needs light source for this to have display... the light source whose responsible for the image to be displayed is the backlight inverter.. Its in the form of a cold cathode lights...frequently located at the upper and lower back edge of the LCD screen..

Hope i clear things out for you...

Much appreciated if you rate this help..thanks..

LCDs therefore need a light source and are classified as "passive" displays
LCDs are more energy efficient, and offer safer disposal, than CRTs. Its low electrical power consumption enables it to be used in battery-powered electronic equipment. It is an electronically-modulated optical device made up of any number of pixels filled with liquid crystals and arrayed in front of a light source (backlight) or reflector to produce images in color or monochrome. The earliest discovery leading to the development of LCD technology, the discovery of liquid crystals, dates from 1888.[1] By 2008, worldwide sales of televisions with LCD screens had surpassed the sale of CRT units.

Plugged wron ac adaptor into my LCD monitor

LCD monitors use CFL lighting behind the liquid crystal display. There is an inverter circuit just for the CFL lights which requires some of the DC current from your adapter to be converted back to AC. most likely your inverter was blown.

Your only solution, in that case, is to take it to a repair shop to have any blown electronics replaced... or just get a new monitor (which might be about the same price as a repair).

Pentax IqZoom 700 film camera E9 error shutter failure Hi, I have a pentax iqzoom 700 that I'd like to repair myself but E9 appears on the lcd screen after inserting a new battery and powering on. Other posts mention this is a shutter failure. When turning on, the zoom lens extends and the outer shutter covering the outside of the lens opens. I've read tutorials that say you can sometimes fix a shutter error by causing a power outage during a shot and opening the battery door while taking a picture, but this isn't possible in my case because no shot is fired when the shutter is pressed, likely because the camera recognizes the shutter failure. I've also watched videos on how to repair leaf shutters and mechanical shutters, but the manual for this camera states the shutter is an AE between-the-lens shutter so I have no idea how to disassemble and fix this sort of thing. Looking thru the lens both thru the front of the camera and in the film compartment on the other side show a dark covering behind the lens even while the outer shutter is open covering the outer lens, which I'm assuming is the between-the-lens shutter. Ideally, I'd like to repair this myself, as there's nothing lost if I screw up and it's not worth it otherwise to take it for repair. I'm a complete novice with absolutely no prior knowledge of taking apart things, but I can follow directions so any suggestions or links to videos/tutorials would be very much appreciated Side note that I've searched the web extensively and have yet to find anything specific to repairing this camera model, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to adapt a tutorial for a different camera to this model Thanks in advance!
