Answered

Hp pavilion dv9000 does not recognized DVD. I Did try that remove battery and hold 60 sec trick, it workd and next time when I brought back from hybernate it vanished.

Right click My Computer.Select manage.Select Device manager.Look for disk drives.Select the drive with the problem and select unistall driver.Restart the PC.

    Did not work, after woke it from hybernate

    Hybernate cause a lot of issues on Windows OS.Why you don,t disable?

    To make hibernation unavailable, follow these steps:
    -Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
    -In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
    -When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
    - At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off, and then press ENTER.
    -Type exit and then press ENTER to close the Command Prompt window.

The laptop wont turn on. i have unpluged it, taken out the battery then replace it after 60 sec. tried to turn it on and it didnt work. i plugged it back in waited about 5 min and it still wont turn on....
This sounds like a motherboard problem, unplug computer and remove main battery and leave it out. Now plug in power adapter, press power, if no! remove the hard drive, power up to see if you get a screen prompt, If no! remove one stick of ram, if no! remove the second stick and make sure you put back the first one, if yes! the stick in your hand is bad, if no! there is a motherboard issue. If all this fails put everything back except the battery and power supply, next hold down the power button for 40 seconds, after that time install battery and power adapter and press power "this is a last ditch effort"

    Do you mean there is no DVD in my computer? If this is the case:
    Hold the WIN key and R together to open RUN.

    Type in "regedit" without the parrenthesis then click ok

    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

    Then SYSTEM

    Then CURRENT CONTROL SET

    Then CONTROL

    Then CLASS

    Then find {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    The whole thing looks like this:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    Then delete the upper and lower filters....

    RESTART YOUR COMPUTER

    So really nothing works for this blank screen problem? I ahve a HP dv9000. I have tried the remove battery and hold power button and also the fn f6 option..still hasnt work..Is there anything else i could...
    try unseating and reseating the memory. Take out the hard drive and dvd drive if the memory trick doesn't work.

    If you still don't have video then the motherboard is bad.

    this is nothing to do with system crash.

    > Take out the battery and the adapter from the notebook hold the power button for 30 sec

    > Power on - ASAP tap on F10 - There if you are using vista press F9 to load the bios defaults and press F10 save and exit

    HP Pavillion Dv 9000 stopped recognizing wireless networks.
    make sure ya have a VISTA compatible Driver for ya wifi ... go to manufactures web site and DL latest one for VISTA..

    Remove and reinstall most up to date driver... then use ya connection program to set it up.
