How to reformat my acer travelmate with windows vista ultimate?

Download the audio and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Makesure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require thatmatches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link toget to the Acer support: -

You can download the windows Vista Driver and use the Compatibility option. It will work.

go to BIOS, insert the windows disc and set the CD/DVD drive as the primary boot option. save changes and exit. computer will restart and it should boot from the Windows disc.

What is it you are trying to do?
If you are trying to reinstall the operating system, you can do that by booting from the Windows install CD. It will give you the option of reformatting and reinstalling.

go to Acer.com and click on support and enter your model number and OS number.

Enter the first recovery cd, and choose the option to format the hard drive and install a fresh copy of windows. Then enter the second recovery cd when it asks. It should have an option of formatting the drive when you put in the recovery cds. There is not that much that can go wrong, since you want to delete everything anyway. Hope that helps :).
