Hey guys.
I had the same problem after replacing the chip after doing a refill.
This is what I did to fix it. I think it forces the printer to do some king of reset.
take
the cartridge that has the error message and swap it with another color
(put it in the wrong slot on purpose) then close up the printer. the
printer will do a check and say that the toner is in the wrong slot.
Then ope it up and put all the toners in the correct slot. The printer
will do a complete reset and recalibrate (it will take a while) when all
is done everything will work properly.
Good luck to you all.
Mark
My suggestion is to put the 2 cartridges next to each other and look at them as closely as you can. There has to be a difference between the one that works and the ones that give the error.
Something that just occurred to me. Check the slot where the black cartridge sits. Check it for something that could have fallen off the original cartridge and is wedged in the slot. Compare the slot with another cartridges slot.
Because one cartridge works and others don't, it tells me it's a physical(hardware) problem not electrical.
