The data on the SD Memory Card can be broken up into five separate folders (where applicable): [DCIM]: The images in this folder (e.g. IMGA0001.JPG) are recorded in the JPEG format. [MISC]: Files in which DPOF Data has been set to the image are in this folder. Slide show data created by SD-MovieStage Ver. 2.5 are also stored in this folder (e.g. AUTPLY0.MRK). [SD_AUDIO]: Stores music data files (e.g. AOB001.SA1) recorded by the SD-Jukebox Ver.4. [SD_VIDEO]: MPEG4 moving pictures are recorded in ASF format (e.g. MOL001.ASF). It can be played back with Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. [SD_VOICE]: Folder in which voice data files (e.g. MOB001.VM1) are stored.

My Garmin 660 will no longer plot a destination...

Have you loaded a lot of JPGs or MP3s on the internal memory? If so, you have reduced the amount of memory available to the 660's OS. Not sure if the 660 stores calculated routes directly to the internal flash memory, but it is very likely, since it keeps your route when you power it down.

To unload the internal memory, consider buying an SD card - they are cheap right now. As a matter of fact, I just ordered an 8GB SD card for my 660 from Amazon for $13. The 4GB and 2GB cards are available for about $7 and $3 respectively. Drrrrrt cheap!

You can access the internal memory of the 660 on your computer with the USB cable you got with the 660. The two folders to focus on are the JPEG and MP3 folders. Simply copy these folders' contents to the root directory of the SD card, and then go into each folder in the GPS memory and delete the MP3s and JPEGs you added - should work better. The 660 will recognize the files on the card if left in folders named identically to the folders in the internal memory.

If you didn't add any content to the internal memory, that is a different issue altogether, probably something to discuss with Garmin. Could be as simple as upgrading the firmware. Make sure you select the correct version though, or it could be a fancy brick! Go here for the nuvi 660:

Good luck, and I hope this helped!
