Try using new batteries - I was using what I thought were fully charged rechargable NiMH batteries (it's probably at the end of its life ad can no longer hold a charge) with mine and was getting the same error, I switched it out with a new battery and it works fine now.

My Zen V Plus 2GB blanked music and wont re-download it!

C00D11D2 is a Windows error, not a Zen problem.
If you want to try one more thing on the computer, look at this link:

As a first try though, I think it sounds like there is a library issue on the player itself. Try a hard reset (push an opened-out paperclip into the reset hole on the side). This should then mean that the player re-builds the library of existing files when you next turn it on.

I have a goodmans gmp38g6 mp3 player its new and battery run out for first time today so ive pluged it in usb to charge and nothing happens ive tried usb port with my camera thats fine and ive tried usb...

Press and hold the reset button (located underneath the hold switch) for 10 seconds. If there is still life in the battery it should start working. If not then if should begin charging when plugged in.

Hope this helps.

It's probably just the mp3 player's malfunctioning on you...something must have happened during shipping and handling to the store you got it from.

Computer says device has malfunctioned

Get a new cable if everything else works that is your problem
Usually, unplugging, replugging it and then rebooting solves the problem.

your other options are a driver issue..either with the ipod drivers, itunes, or the USB drivers for your computer itself. since your ipod video and psp work fine, you can rule out USB drivers, but that doesn't rule out additional driver problems.

the other option is there's some kind of failure with your ipod..and sometimes if a device starts drawing power before doing any kind of communication with the computer (like when my rockbox-hacked ipod goes into charge only mode) then windows will assume there's a hardwire issue. the best way to determine if it's an issue with your ipods are take them to another computer and see if they work. if they work fine...try uninstalling and reinstalling itunes (back up your music and database) and see if that solves the problem. if none of that solves it and you know the ipod shuffles are good..then your system has suffered from the mysterious driver failure that's plagued a lot of systems. and generally the only real solution is to reinstall windows from scratch.

Many times, MP3 players will play music from an "Audio" folder. Try naming the folder "Audio".
