Question about Dell 926 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Usually i would not advice you open up anything apart from the printer top. Removing other components apart from the printer top makes your warranty invalid and also could lead to serious damage to the unit. Instead i would advice you get yourself a long pain of tweezers and get the styrofoam out. As long as you are sure it is a styrofoam which is jammed there then a long pair of tweezers will remove it for you fair and square.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

I don't know if that printer has a rear access panel, so here's a little trick....uncurl a thin paperclip, putting a loop at one end for your finger, and a barb bend at the other end (think of the sharp part of a fish hook) at the other end, Use the hook to grab and remove the Styrofoam.
Another solution, although more tricky and potentially dangerous, is to put some crazy glue on the end of a piece of cardboard, and try to glue the end of the cardboard to the Styrofoam and gently remove the cardboard, hopefully with the styro in tow!

The suggestion to use a paper clip is a good one, but the styrofoam is jammed too deeply for this to work. There is no access panel in the back that I can see, but that's really what needs to happen. Is there another way to get inside? Removing the bottom, pulling out the paper guide...?
Thanks for your suggestion....I've already tried that too. Guess I'll have to take it into a licensed repair shop. Appreciate your help!
