Playback movie pictures or sound

Some cameras do not have built-in microphones. Check the beginning of your owner's manual. There should be a picture of the camera with the parts labeled. Does it show a microphone? If not, you may have to watch "silent movies".

Press the PLAYBACK button that is located above the Display at the right side and left to the Zoom buttons.

Once you press the PLAYBACK button, the Camera goes in to the Playback mode. Now you can use left and right arrow buttons to view the images.

To playback the movies it is required to press the center button.

Sorry...your camera only takes silent movies.

DSC-S930 does record sound and you can hear video clip sound by playback of Media Player in Computer.
This camera does not have inbuilt speaker for playback sound but it have inbuilt mic to record sound, transfer recorded movie clip in computer and play it with media player to get sound and picture.

Sony DSC-S730 has no built-in speaker for playback sound and you will have sound if you transfer and play movie clip in computer.

DSC-S500 can record short movie clip with sound and you can playback it on camera and can transfer that movie clip to PC
Check below jog-dial mark to set camera to record movie clip.


To playback, set camera to Playback.

You will get sound when you transfer recorded movie clips in your computer and playback in computer.
DSC-S500 Sony Cybershot has built-in mic to record sound but doesn't have speaker to give sound during playback in camera. You need to import movie files in your PC and playback in PC to hear sound.

This camera does record sounds. But, it doesnt look like it has a speaker in it to play them. So, yes unfortunately you wont be able to hear what you record unless you are using something else to playback what you have recorded.

Movie pictures can be played back with the camera, but not sound. However, when the camera is connected to a TV, both movie pictures and sound can be played back. For playing back movie pictures or sound on a PC, the QuickTime™ 4 is required.
