Try to find a copy of the bios from the manufacture's website, and put it on a usb stick, then start the computer with the usb stick plugged in. if that doesn't work, you may have to replace the bios chip with a properly programmed one. if you can replace it, then you would have to replace your motherboard (unless I missing something here on how to recover the bios)

SOURCE: Mainboard GA-G31-ES2C Warning: Backup BIOS checksum

If you have reset the CMOS memory you need to go into the BIOS setup screen and reconfigure the BIOS. To do that you need to press a key while the computer is booting. Usually F2 but can be other keys. It should tell you on the bottom of the first screen which key to press to enter BIOS setup.
If you don't know the settings the should be one for optimal defaults - use that one. You will also need to reset the time and date.
Save, Exit and re-boot and everything should then work.
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press delete to enter setup

Main bios error for gigabyte gag31 fsb1333

Hello try to download a manual for trouble shooting
just select the right model here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/search/search.aspx?kw=+GA-G31#pr-1

The number is printed in on the mainboard by the pci socket.

Have you tryed to upgrade the bios ???
Whats the fault in more details ???
Any visible faults ???

Try to renew the cmos (cr2032) battery:

11_24_2012_9_16_17_am.gif
And try to boot again.
You have to setup the clock and the boot settings for the drive.
Because removing the battery will reset the bios to factory defaults.

A fault in a graphic card or drive can also cause this.

Good luck

Motherboard will not run with 8gig mem

I suspect this is a memory compatibilty problem - the memory you have listed is not on the GA recommended memory list see - http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/MemorySupport/motherboard_memory_ga-ep45-ds5.pdf

Note The memory spec of what you are using is set at 2.1v yet your motherboard spec is 1.8v also the latency of your memory is spec 5-5-5-15 2t at 2.1v and 1066mhz - the motherbaord and recommended memory is 5-5-5-15 / 4-4-4-12 at 1.8v at 800mhz

Try down specing the system memory to run at 800mhz not 1066 - this will reduce your processor speed as well, but at least it might work. there is no guarantee as the latency at 800mhz is 5-5-5-18 for your memory.

GE-G31M-ES2c

Hi nxxoi,

I believe you meant a driver for GA-G31`M-E32C. Which is a Gigabyte Motherboard, and you can find those drivers HERE. You can also download manuals, current Bios, and all kinds of good stuff.

Good Luck, and don't forget to leave a rating based on my Solution.

Thanks
